How to Maintain Your Accordion Hurricane Shutters

WHAT TO BUY:

• Car wash soap 
• Clear silicone lubricant spray 

STEPS:

1. Clean your track and blades with water and soap.
2. Rinse with water
3. Wait until the shutters are dry.
4. Apply clear silicone lubricant spray on the track and on all the screws that connect the blades.
5. Make sure the shutters can operate smoothly and also be locked.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

• Perform maintenance on your accordion shutters at least twice a year. 
• Make sure the shutters are working well before the hurricane season.

NOTE:

Cleaning the shutters with car wash soap is optional; it will depend on the current condition.
